The Future Of
Gaming and the blockchain
is in web 3

The future of gaming & the blockchain is web3. While many times these items are used as digital representations of real-world assets (like art, cars, and real estate), other digital items based on blockchain technology have no connection to the physical world. These tokens are created through a process called tokenization.

Gaming is a huge industry. It’s played by millions of people every day and it makes up a large portion of our free time. For most people, gaming is a hobby but for some it’s more than that. There are many ways to make money from playing games, from streaming on twitch to creating your own unique content that can be purchased by other gamers. However there is one major problem with gaming that has plagued gamers for decades: centralization.

The next step to decentralize web3 gaming is at hand

The future of gaming is now. It’s non fungible tokens, the blockchain, web3 and dapps.

Just kidding! But really, a lot has happened since I wrote my last article on this topic a few months ago:

  • CryptoKitties went viral and showed us how fun it can be to collect digital cats on the blockchain.
  • Etherbots became one of the first games to be built on Ethereum (the second most popular cryptocurrency after Bitcoin).
  • CryptoWars was released as one of the first standalone games for mobile devices running on top of Ethereum’s smart contracts platform – with plans for more features to come soon!

All of these events have shown us that the blockchain is not just a technology for making cryptocurrencies. It’s a technology that can be used to create fun and engaging experiences. In this article, I will explore how developers are using blockchain technology in the gaming industry.

web3 Gaming is a huge market

NFTs are a new asset class, and they’re here to stay. According to the game analytics company SuperData Research, NFT sales in 2019 will be $5 billion. And that number is expected to grow even more over time.

NFTs are not just a way for players to express themselves by wearing their favorite character or team logo on their chests — it’s also about the experience of playing a game and interacting with other players.

With NFTs, you can earn money while playing video games by opening loot boxes or buying items from other players through auction sites like OpenSea or Rare Bits (which we mentioned earlier).

And if you’re feeling particularly lucky, you can even try your hand at gambling. There are many different kinds of NFTs, but they all have one thing in common: They’re digital assets that can be exchanged on the blockchain.

Blockchain and web3 Crypto-Games are the next big thing

Let’s be honest: gaming is fun. It’s easy to play, easy to win and it’s even easier to collect! That’s why crypto-games are the next big thing. Here’s how they work:

  • Crypto-games are fun. Their premise is simple—you have a bunch of coins, you play the game with those coins and you win more coins (or lose them).
  • They’re easy to play. Your coins can be used for various actions within the game (like buying new clothes for your avatar or buying power ups) but ultimately their goal is always winning more coins. Some games require strategic thinking like in Chess or Go; others require little more than luck like slot machines or roulette wheels. If luck isn’t on your side then fear not: there’s always another round coming soon where yours could be better!
  • They’re easy to win because they use blockchain technology which means every transaction made with these games cannot be altered retroactively by anyone including yourself! This means there will never be any disputes over whether someone has won or lost because it cannot happen due to immutable records being kept permanently on all computers connected together through this network called “Blockchain”.

The blockchain revolution is now

In the future, gaming will be different. It will be a decentralized blockchain revolution.

Imagine a game where you can play with your friends and strangers all over the world, without any server architecture or central authority controlling your experience. Imagine being able to directly trade in-game items for real money using cryptocurrency (like Bitcoin). Imagine an economy that isn’t dominated by a few big players who charge outrageous fees on transactions, but instead is owned by everyone who stakes their coins and uses the network.

Imagine never having to worry about whether your account has been hacked or banned, because there’s no centralized database storing sensitive information that needs to be protected from hackers or regulators—and no one collecting data about how much time you spend playing games or what type of games you like best!

The future of the blockchain and web3 has arrived.

A non fungible token, or NFT, is a digital asset that has a unique identifier and cannot be replicated. For example, each CryptoKitty represents its own unique cat. If you want to trade them with other players, they must be able to verify that the kitty being offered is indeed the same one as yours. This can only happen by using the Ethereum blockchain itself (think of it like an immutable database).
